Additional information about the property:


  • The cabin is a 640 sq ft two room open loft style cabin.  It has one main room with two sleeping lofts, kitchen, and a small bath with shower, sink, and toilet.
  • No city water is available in this area.  The water is from a private well.  It has not been tested recently. We personally do not drink the water.  We use it for showering and brushing teeth, etc.  We recommend bringing your drinking water with you. 
  • The cabin is heated with a wood burning stove and/or three electric space heaters.
  • There is a 19 gallon hot water heater.  Once the hot water is used, it takes a bit to heat back up.
  • Verizon cellular works. 3G mostly 
  •  Sleeps 7 in beds.  Two full beds. Three twin beds. A pack and play and high chair are also available.
  •  Appliances: refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave. coffee pot, toaster, crock pots, propane grill
  • In the summer, 3 window ac units cool the cabin in addition to a ceiling fan.

Everything Else - 2 couches, 3 space heaters, 3 window ac units (in summer, late spring, early fall), oven/stove, refrigerator, crock pots, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, plates, silverware, cookware, grill and propane, TV (no cable, satellite, or antenna currently), DVD player, large collection of DVDs, child’s table, child’s play kitchen, and child’s dollhouse, pack n play, coffee table, end tables, lamps, loft end tables, bedding, a few extra blankets, child’s sand box, outdoor fire pit, ceiling fan, unlocked small storage lockers,

If you reach I-40 E you've gone about 0.1 miles too far. Then 0.52 miles
Turn right onto S Chestnut St/TN-164. Continue to follow TN-164. TN-164 is just past S Elm St.
Dairy Queen is on the right. If you reach S Holly St you've gone a little too far. Then 16.81 miles Turn slight right onto Wilder Hwy/TN-85. Wilder Hwy is 0.2 miles past Big Laurel Ln. Then 1.55 miles. Turn left onto Cravenstown Rd. If you reach Engelman Oak Ln you've gone about
0.2 miles too far. Then 1.62 miles. Turn left to stay on Cravenstown Rd. Then 0.28 miles. Cravenstown Rd becomes Cooktown Rd. Then 1.90 miles. Turn right onto Billy Joe Ln.

Dale Hollow Lake (Eastport Marina  is the nearest boat launch 5652 East Port Road, Alpine TN 38543). The cabin is only about 25 minutes away from this Marina.  GPS and Google Maps show one route, but there are two routes.  Turn right leaving Billy Joe Lane, Cooktown rd turns into Manson Rd, Take Manson rd to Highway 52. Left on Highway 52.  Right at sign for Eastport Marina. Cooktown rd is a steep gravel rd.  If  pulling a boat or no 4 wheel drive, you will have to return from the Marina via Highway 85.

Fishing is catch and release only.  Pond stocking can be very expensive and this is the only way we can keep rental fees low. The pond is stocked with Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Bluegill Sunfish, and Golden Shiner Minnows.  Click HERE for info on the fish types.

Pets: 


We do allow pets with prior approval. They should be house trained with no history of eating doors, walls, cabinets, furniture, cabins, etc.  We prefer small dogs only, but will consider larger dogs and cats. Horses are welcome on the property.
